Regina,
I hope you realize how much hope and inspiration you are giving me so many others..
You are grieving your precious son, yet you are so compassionate to all of us..I have read all of your blogs..but this one takes it to a new level, cause you are thinking of how it is affecting everyone.
It is amazing to me that you are worried about everyone else!
I have a relative, who lost her daughter at 18 in a car accident, she was hit by a drunk driver.. and even after 26 years..she is still so sad..because she keeps everything in and cant talk about it.
You have shown her, that there is a way to bring something postive from tragedy..and now finally after all these years..she is seeing things in a different light.. and it is because of you grace..and kindness in handling this situation. You see the loss of Chris and its effects on all of us..whether we are relatives... friends...classmates..clifton park community...or capital distict community...
you realize that all of us are so upset and sad, because it has taught everyone how precious life is.
We all realize that this accident could have happened to anyone. Even when you are doing the right thing, bad things can happen. Personally.. it has made me stop and hug my kids a few more times a day and a little tighter. It has shown me that even with a school as large as Shen...these kids and this town, has come together like I have NEVER seen. I have 3 daughters at Shen HS, and i see how this accident have changed them and there friends. The kids in this town are a little kinder..a little more appreciative.. little less judgemental...little more accepting..and it is because for many of them..this is the first time, that tragedy has hit this close to home.
So I just want to thank you...for demonstrating amazing strength and calm. Like my 14 year old daughter said when she met you at the game Thur at Siena.."Mom...Mrs Stewart is so nice..she has such peace & kindness on her face.." that preety much sums in up in a nut shell.
God Bless you.
